Archtop guitar ‘Tar’ with cutaway

This guitar is a cross-pollination of 2 original guitar plans. The 17 inch top of the guitar has been given a parallel bracing in the soundbox. This creates a ‘louder’ voice for the sound box instead of the x-bracing that is also used in archtop guitars. The ‘louder’ voice was chosen because the volume of the sound box was made smaller. The volume is between an original Archtop guitar and a Thinline serie. With custom made Lollar pickups mounted on this guitar, a unique sound is created that sounds warm and full. If you only choose the bridge pickup, the sound can be pretty sharp as well.
